Sylvester Town Chair
To the Editor:
I would like to thank the residents of the Town of Sylvester for their confidence in me and the support they have shown over the years as I served as Chair of the Sylvester Town Board. I would also like to thank the other two board members who have enabled my recent term to be productive and effective. I am once again asking for your support and vote as I face a challenger on April 1, 2025. There have been times when Town elections have been won or lost by just a few votes so it is critical that you exercise your right to vote in this upcoming election on April 1st. To quote a town resident, “This board works well together and gets things done. Why change it? We need to keep experienced people on the board who know how to get things done.”
In 2023, I campaigned on upgrading roads in the township; getting spending and taxes under control; running the town board in accordance with State statutes and regulations; restoring civility, dignity, and respect to the town board; ensuring town employees and contractors performed the tasks for which they were being paid; and restoring accountability to the town board. I came through on all of these and will continue to do so, if re-elected.
In the past two years, the current Sylvester Town Board has upgraded more than half of our town roads. There is a plan in place to systematically upgrade the remaining roads. I wrote grants for funding to rebuild roads in Sylvester Township. We were awarded two of those grants which will bring in nearly a half million dollars for road rebuilds. If re-elected, I will continue to write road grants as they become available.
I appreciate feedback from Town residents and make a point of responding to concerns in a prompt and efficient manner. One town resident stated, “You are always respectful of people and open to new ideas. You respond quickly to any concerns. Whenever I have contacted you about anything, you have taken care of it right away.”
On April 1, 2025, I am asking you to vote for experience, integrity, fiscal responsibility, and accountability. Vote for a board that “gets things done”! Vote for Anna Anderson for Sylvester Town Chair!
