There was a line of political signs along the road for all the candidates for this upcoming election. Someone had placed before the passer-bys all the choices we have. This array of signs made it clear that both parties are running good candidates for the various county and state offices this year. So many choices and only one vote.
With the many recent changes to the voting laws and the incessant political advertisements it is easy to forget that we have the right to split our ticket.
We may vote a Republican for one office and a Democrat for another.
As you enter the polling booth, remember you do not have to vote a straight ticket - you have choices - you may split your ticket - your vote. You may mix and match to gain representation that best corresponds to your interests and concerns.
