Letter to the editor: Walker costs Wisconsin jobs, more

To the editor:

Wisconsin jobs in December 2007, 2.88 million. In May 2014, 2.86 million. Loss of .02, about 20,000.

We have lost dozens of retail stores because too many people have low paying jobs and can't afford to buy. Walker is against raising the minimum wage while states that have raised it are gaining jobs.

He canceled equal pay for equal work joining the Republican war on women's rights.

He is against public schools slashing funding - $800 million - but gave more to voucher schools that don't do better. He also cut aid to local governments.

It shouldn't cost anymore to vote but voter ID will cost anyone who doesn't have a copy of their birth certificate to pay for it.

He shortened early voting hours in Madison and Milwaukee, making longer lines on Election Day. Probably people that work can't afford to spend hours in line. Any utility bill should be enough proof.

He kicked people off Badger Care and refused federal money to get Medicaid eligible health insurance because he doesn't care about the poor.

He gets a big amount of his campaign money from out-of-state rich like the Koch brothers which doesn't want the minimum wage raised and want right to work for less in every state.

You should ask Rep. Marklein why he doesn't support adequate funding for the public schools. Why he thinks women don't deserve equal pay. Why he doesn't care about the lack of health insurance for the low income people. Why he helped gerrymander voting districts so the Republicans can have an easy time getting elected.

He has rubber stamped all of Walker's bad ideas. Why he is in favor of voter suppression? Be sure to vote.
