To the editor:
This is a thank you to all those who made donations, helped sort, organize, and set up the clothing and school supplies for the recnet free shopping event at St. Victor School. We thank those who patiently waited in line, in orderly fashion, till the doors opened at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 when they could come in to select items to meet their needs.
We met some of the needs of many families. The need is great. We eventually ran out of school supplies. Many families left their names, phone numbers, and grades still needing supplies. We would like to help them out with a few essentials as well. School supplies were bagged for individual grades so that each student could receive six to seven essentials from the school lists.
If anyone is interested in making monetary donations to allow us to purchase additional school supplies, please send your donations to:
