Recently, our Say Yes to Monroe Schools committee formed and started our journey of informing and educating our community on the two very important referendum questions for the Monroe School district. We came together because we are passionate about our schools. We worked hard because we are proud of our community. We learned along the way that we are not alone.
We have seen first-hand the overwhelming support our community has shown for our schools, and for that we are extremely grateful. Our accomplishments could never have been achieved without the amazing group of community members that reached out and joined our committee and worked countless hours. From yard signs plastered around town, to online videos, to informational brochures delivered door-to-door, to amazing and creative pictures showing support, to radio ads, to personal phone calls, to attending informational presentations around the community, and more, we have worked carefully and tirelessly to try to inform everyone in the community about the importance of the two referendum questions that were on the November ballot. To the members of our community that asked some good, hard questions, thank you. Thank you for getting informed and learning how important saying yes to Monroe schools is for the well-being of our entire community. To our many, many supporters, we say thank you. We are honored to know that we are in this together, and have a common belief that we can put our schools on a solid course for the future.
We are incredibly grateful and proud to be a part of this amazing community. Thank you for saying yes to our schools, yes to our community, and yes to our future. It has been a true pleasure to be a part of this journey. But this is just the beginning; we look forward to the future where our schools and community continue to work together as partners for the benefit of our youth.
