From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank the community for all the support during the tragedy of our house fire Feb. 25. The community came together for us in an extreme time of need. Green County Fall Nationals, St. Vinney's, the Red Cross and the county instantly accommodated our needs. We also want to thank our dear friends Donnie and Tina Lepper and Ryan and Jennifer Blaser for organizing the benefit held at Papa Don's Horseshoe March 16 and the many businesses and organizations around town that helped and donated to the silent auction. We were delighted with all the responses from numerous amounts of people around town that donated clothes, toys or a monetary donation to help us get back on our feet. There is no way that we can truly show you how grateful we are for each and every one of the donations we received.
While at St. Vinneys, we even had a generous woman come up to us and hand us a monetary donation just because she saw the article in the paper. It is because of people like her and all the rest in the community that helped donate items that we were able to find a house and start filling it with the necessities.
With the support of our community, when our life was turned upside down, the community helped turn it right side up and for that we are forever grateful.
