From Chuck Schuringa
Monroe
To the editor:
I want to thank the people of Monroe for the past few years I've served on the city council. I have enjoyed working with other council members and the excellent staff at city hall.
I have decided not to seek another term on the council, so that I might spend more time with my family and especially my grandchildren.
I encourage my constituents in Ward 9 to embrace Richard Thoman, who is running as a write-in candidate on April 1. I believe Richard as a businessman in the city would make a nice addition to the council. He has plenty of experience as a county supervisor, which he can transfer to improve the city.
Thank you.
