Monroe

To the editor:

I am writing to express my support for Nikki Matley for Monroe School Board. I have had the privilege of getting to know and work with Nikki on the "Say "YES' to Monroe Schools" committee last year, and I can think of no one more qualified, committed or passionate to serve our schools than Nikki.

Nikki strongly believes that our schools are the heart of our community and that strong schools are an essential cornerstone of a strong, thriving community. Nikki demonstrates this in her passion and commitment to Monroe through all of the various service organizations she has been a part of, all of which have helped to grow our community. These organizations include Green County Leaders, Green County Development Corporation, the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, Monroe Kiwanis as well as other local organizations. I know that Nikki will bring the same passion and commitment to the Monroe School Board that she has brought to these other organizations. It is important to have people on our school board who are passionate about our community and who are willing to work hard to help make Monroe stronger. Nikki is that person.

Serving on the School Board is not a position to be taken lightly. The education that we provide to students is critical for future success. I believe that Nikki is dedicated to helping all children to learn, grow, and succeed. I know that Nikki has a strong belief that the schools and communities should work together as partners. I also know that Nikki believes in order for this to happen schools must have transparency and earn trust. These are elements that I know Nikki will fight for in order to foster positive school and community relations. In addition, Nikki believes that our schools need to be fiscally responsible, and she will work to find the balance between providing the best possible educational experience and opportunities for our students, while at the same time being a good steward of tax-payer dollars.

For these reason and more, I am honored to support Nikki for a position on the Monroe School Board. Please join me on April 4th in voting for Nikki Matley for Monroe School Board.
