I was shocked to see the pictures on the front page of the March 8 newspaper. The pictures were of children, ages 3 to 10 years of age, using a snow blower as a toy.

These machines are not toys and are meant for adult use. Blowing snow directly at another person is extremely dangerous. Ice chunks or stones could be blown from the machine, easily causing serious injury to the face or eyes.

Getting hands and feet near the auger is a danger that could result in injury or loss of fingers.
