From George Vernon Monroe To the editor: Several weeks ago a group of residents of the Town of Jordan were given the opportunity to appear before the Jordan Town Board to request the placement of a referendum on the Town's ballot for the April 4 election. The referendum asks voters either to approve or disapprove the concept of a Constitutional Amendment proposed by Wisconsin United to Amend. The object of the proposed Amendment is to restore meaningful limitations on contributions of anonymous so-called "dark money" in U.S. elections.
