Monroe High School Class of 2015
To the editor:
If I had a say in the matter, Bob Erb would basically be on the school board forever. Not only does he care about schools, but he understands their role in the community and wants to see that role successfully filled. The best part is, he doesn't just say that he cares - he shows it. I have done theater at Monroe High School every year I've been there, and each year, Mr. Erb is there too, oftentimes with a concessions stand to raise money for the fine arts. He goes to great lengths to ensure that the students get to do what they love, and reinforce that connection with the community in the process. He makes sure that, whether it's athletics, arts, academics, or anything in-between, every student has the resources and opportunities to learn and grow.
I also know, from personal experience, that Bob Erb puts a lot of effort into seeing that students succeed. As I did my college search this year, Mr. Erb was more than willing to write me an eloquent letter of recommendation, and personally sent it to prospective colleges across the country.
Bob Erb takes pride in the achievements of students, teachers, and the entire school district of Monroe. He wants to improve the entire community, and knows that such improvement will start in the schools. He sees how important the kids are, and everything he does as a member of the school board is for them - for us. And if that isn't what being a member of the Monroe school board is all about, then I don't know what is.
