Letter to the editor: Don't forget Family Promise, Salvation Army

To the editor:

I recently noticed a proclamation honoring Family Promise of Green County and Homelessness Awareness Month. How fitting.

In mid-November, a young, homeless adult was relocated from a wooded fencerow along a highway to the gentle care of Family Promise of Green County; Rick Gleason, director; and staff. With the support of Steve and Vicki Schoville, Roy and Jan Wyss, Dave and Mary Deininger, Mickey Rockey from Salvation Army, and Green County Deputy Dillon, the young adult was guided to a warm and safe shelter.

During this holiday season of giving, please remember organizations like Family Promise of Green County and the Salvation Army.
