To the editor:

Blanchchardville-Hollandale Area residents, you have an amazing opportunity to give one of the first Christmas gifts of the season - the Gift of Life! The Blanchardville-Hollandale Area Blood Drive is Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the American Legion, 218 Mason in Blanchardville from 1 to 6 p.m. Donors (former and new) are always needed; in fact, the need never ends. A letter from the American Red Cross graciously acknowledges your loyalty. "Today and every day, patients around the country are thankful for potentially lifesaving donations of blood, platelets, and plasma. Thank you for taking the time to help others by being a dedicated blood drive partner. We appreciate you and so do the thousands of patients who get to enjoy this holiday season due to your generosity of spirit. Please accept our profound gratitude for your gifts of lifesaving blood which played a vital role in helping neighbors whose lives were impacted by disasters and by other life changing emergencies. Your compassion is key to providing these families comfort, help and hope when they need it most." I cannot add anything that is more meaningful, other than the fact that we need you... the need for blood never ends, and it can only come from you. We hope to see you on December 12, 2017. Please make an appointment and/or complete RapidPass (RED CROSS 1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to expedite your time.
