From Paul Hannes
Monroe
My name is Paul Hannes and I am running for re-election as your alderman on Aril 5. For 10 years, I have worked very hard to represent the people in my ward. Not only have I worked hard, but I truly enjoy representing you as your alderman. I strongly feel that the work that we do as elected officials for the city of Monroe is very important for all citizens, from holding taxes in check, to continuing to provide the quality of life that we all have enjoyed over the years.
I was born on a farm outside of Monroe and raised in the Monroe and Albany areas. Since then, I have lived in the city of Monroe more than 50 years. I was an employee at Bruni-Miller for many years, and then became part-owner in 1970. From this business experience, I understand and appreciate the many problems and challenges of economic growth in Monroe. I have tried my very best, over my years as an alderperson, to make common sense decisions to help promote economic growth.
During my years on council, I have served on many city committees as either chair or as a member. These committees range from Public Works, Public Safety, Finance and Taxation, Board of Review to name a few. I am currently on the Senior Center Board which I thoroughly enjoy. I feel that the seniors have a lot to offer from their years of living and working in the city of Monroe. I have always had a good working relationship with all the department heads and have great respect for all our city employees.
As I run for re-election, I want to thank you all for your past support, and I am now asking fro your continued support to serve as your alderperson. Please come out and vote on April 5, so we can continue our journey together to make Monroe the best it can be. Thank you.
