As a life-long farmer, I am frustrated at how the mega dairy has ruined our reputation in agriculture. No wonder there are more and more people against CAFOs, Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations.
The mega dairy has now had four discharges and did not have all the required permits before constructing. Recently the IL EPA has requested the Attorney General investigate Traditions South Dairy for polluting the waters of the state. All you have to do is talk to the local farmers where these mega farms have already came in and kept expanding.
These mega farms have disrupted their communities, families and their markets. Please don't vote for those that support these mega farms. Our next generation of farmers are counting on you!
