Don't let money erode moral fiber

To the editor,

Gov. Walker and his buddies claim it is unfair for out-of-state labor to send in money to support local interests while totally ignoring the fact that millions of dollars from out-of-state affluent individuals and corporations are filling Walker's campaign coffers. Wisconsin state law allows a person under recall to raise unlimited dollars to defend against the recall and to contest the validity of the recall petitions signatures.

Now the Governor has sued the GAB and a favorable ruling by a Waukesha judge requires the GAB to use taxpayer money to weed out any signature that Walker might dispute.

Does this save taxpayer money? All this activity by Walker and his cronies (who are sometimes referred to as The Koch-Fitz-Walker Buddies) seems to be designed to deprive the Democratic Party of the support and money needed to compete in the political field.

This would give the Republican Party an open road to further their greedy, conservative agenda which, if allowed to succeed, will lead to the same type of oppressive government which drove our founding fathers to this country centuries ago. Let us return to the days of "one person, one vote" and stop the greedy money from further eroding our moral fiber.
