One of the most talked about political races here is that of the 80th Assembly District, and I would like to respectfully ask for your vote for Brett Davis on Nov. 4.
Brett is a Monroe, Green County, native who resides in Oregon. Both of these areas are in Brett's district and Brett is very in tune with his neighbors and his community and has a deep understanding of the issues facing our area and state. Brett knows that the education of our youth is vital in ensuring we have competent and educated future leaders in our community. He has shown his passion for education by saving the virtual schools and continuing to work on ways to fund education.
Brett is a Farm Bureau member, and has received the Friend of Agriculture award in both of his terms with a 100 percent voting record for agriculture. He also received the Honorary Chapter Farmer Degree from the FFA. This prestigious award means Brett is in tune with agriculture, and he knows it is the largest industry in this area and vital to the area's continued economic growth. Brett worked hard and was instrumental in getting the dairy manufacturing investment tax credit passed so we could keep our milk, one of most precious commodities, here in Green County and Wisconsin.
Brett is not afraid to roll up his sleeves and get dirty. He is not afraid to be on the receiving end of a mad constituent's verbal thrashing, and he is not afraid to make himself available to talk about an issue that is important to the people of his district. He is not afraid to talk to people on their turf, as is evident in the number of times he has visited the farm my wife, Marie, and I own. His calm demeanor, calm voice and warm smile make a person realize Brett Davis is a people person, ready to face whatever challenges are brought before him.
I am proud to say Brett Davis is my friend and I am also very proud to say Brett Davis is my district representative. I look forward to casting my vote for him Nov. 4 and look forward to continuing to watch Brett improve the quality of life for 80th District residents. Won't you please join me in casting your vote Nov. 4 for Brett Davis?
