Davis does what's right for his district

Brett Davis is up for election in the Wisconsin State Assembly on Nov. 4. I feel we should elect him to a third term as our assemblyman. Over the past four years, I have had the pleasure of working with Brett on many issues that affect small business development and our quality of life here in the 80th District. He has always been honest and forthright in his efforts to accomplish the tasks at hand. His main goal always is to do what is best for the district as a whole, not to take a political stand in his decision making.

Brett is accessible - something we have never had before here by previous people who have held this position. Brett is not afraid to take a stand and vote for the people of his district, even if it means voting against his political party, as was evident when he voted to get the budget passed. Brett is interested in what happens in all parts of his district, not just the Dane County section, unlike his predecessors. Finally, Brett has integrity. He is honest and hardworking.

I may not always agree with every vote Brett casts in the Assembly, but I know he votes for what is best for our district as a whole. What we need now more than ever is someone who has the strength and courage to help bring about change in the way that we do business here in Wisconsin. Someone who is not afraid to stand up and challenge the status quo. What we need is to keep Brett Davis in office for another term. We as a community and a district would lose much in replacing him with someone who does not understand our district and its needs, or does not have the knowledge of how government needs to work to accomplish the hard economic road we are facing.

I hope that on election day, you will do as I am and cast your vote for Brett Davis. Our best choice for fair, honest and hard working representation in the Wisconsin Assembly.
