First of all, we would like to thank all of the compassionate people who contribute to the welfare and care of the homeless animals in our community. The goodness in this community never fails to inspire us.
We are writing today to encourage animal lovers to attend the Green County Humane Society annual meeting on Thursday, May 7, and to support the current, hard working board of directors. This board has done an outstanding job of steering GCHS through turbulent times. From direct personal experience, we have seen the dedication, care and follow-through of the humane society. We adopted a dog a year ago and the thorough and thoughtful procedures were heartening. We were assisted all along the way to make sure the experience was positive for both owners and dog.
The current board members are problem solvers. They assumed responsibility for an organization in turmoil and have guided it to stability. They understand the issues facing GCHS and have a plan to meet the current and future needs of the organization. The team is well equipped to follow through with the building project that is in progress. They have the respect and backing of the community as well as the business expertise ad leadership to carry out the plan. It would be a shame to lose the continuity they have created at GCHS. Please come to the meeting on Thursday and support the current board of directors. They deserve our support.
