Recently, the Green County Genealogical Society wrote a plea (Aug. 24 letter to the editor) for finding space to hold its growing accumulation of documents and articles pertaining to Green County.
Unfortunately, no way to contact us was included, so I am once again writing so that if there is anyone out there that may be of help to us, they will have a way to contact someone.
I have included snippets from the original letter as we are hopeful to find a way to preserve these valuable items.
As of now, these materials are stored in a storage unit or in members homes; making it difficult for researchers to use.
We are asking your help to protect and preserve this valuable collection in hopes that someone would have a space that might accommodate it.
GCGS does not have the resources to pay full rent, perhaps there would be something we could do in kind or for a small fee.
