A blossom: Another year of trick or treat. Parents should be proud of their children. Also give yourself a pat. I can't thank you enough, how well-mannered they were coming to our door. Although the weather wasn't the greatest, their costumes and watching them was a treat. - Chuck Schuringa, Monroe

I would like to send a big blossom to the unknown person who found my keys on the bike trial and took them to the Monroe Police Station. Thanks to the unknown police officer who took the keys to Walgreens because there was a tab on the keychain. I would like to thank the unknown employee of Walgreens who checked the tab, found my address and called me. What a wonderful community we live in. - Olga A. Beer

A huge blossom goes out to the Parks and Recreation NFL Ffag football coaches. I can't thank you enough for your time and enthusiasm you brought to the program. A special blossom to the fourth- through sixth-grade coaches for your season-ending get-together. - Carol Wyss, Recreation Supervisor of Monroe Parks and Recreation Department

A blossom to everyone involved in emptying and filling pots on the Square the past two Saturdays. We so appreciate the plentiful greens donated by the Oxenreiders. Thanks also to the Lion's Club members who helped transport the boughs. The many volunteers from the community and the Monroe Woman's Club made the job easy. You are great. Because of you, we all get to enjoy a festive touch during this upcoming holiday season. Thank you. - Julie Buchanan, a member of the Monroe Woman's Club

A blossom to the volunteers whohelped make the 2013 Green County Veterans Appreciation Dinner happen. Thanks go out to the Albany, Brodhead, and Monroe Lions Clubs and the Juda Forefathers, and especially Judy Kehm, who put on an excellent lunch in Albany. Additional help was given by Del Heins, Jerry Hastings, and Stan and Barb Erlandson. Other donations were provided by the Monroe Senior Center and Don Olin. - Green County Veterans Service Office
