A blossom to all the folks who helped with the Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt. Thanks to the volunteers from the Monroe High School track team, the Monroe Kiwanis, and to Marge and the great people at Park and Rec. More than 500 children took part in this event, so on behalf of them, I also want to thank the donors that make this happen every year. Thank you. - Al Hanusa, president, Monroe Kiwanis Club

A big bunch of blossoms to all who donated items and baked good for the Green County Humane Society garage and bake sale, held recently at Monroe Auto Sales. The sale was a huge success and we made almost $2,800, all of which goes to the shelter for the care of cats and dogs. Thank you so much for your generosity. Our next garage sale will be the first weekend in Oct. 2-4. - Mary Hamilton and Geri Bartholf

We would like to give a blossom to the organizers and volunteers at the Angel Among Us 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, April 26. The Ellefson and Pierce families have done a great job at promoting the awareness and prevention of suicide in Green County. Hopefully someday no one will have to go through the pain of losing a loved one to suicide like we had to this past year. - The family of Tracy Beutel, Ernie and Nancy Beutel, Monroe
