A garden full of blossoms for everyone who worked so hard to make the Cheese Tasting event last Friday night at Old Smokey's such a successful start for the "Monsignor Thomas F. Campion Charitable Fund." This evening would not have happened if not for the great support of the Wisconsin Cheesemaker's Association and the Foreign Type Cheesemaker's Association. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated items, bought raffle tickets, cooked and served food, set up and planned or helped in any way - especially the committee of Ron Buholzer, Jeff Conway, Mike Doyle, Linda Gebhardt, Ray Kneller, Shirley Knox, Rich Schindler, Meghan Schramer and Jeff Wideman. You put the fund more than halfway to its ultimate goal of annual gifts to deserving non-profit organizations that will continue Monsignor Campion's legacy forever. T.C. was smiling down on the whole evening! - Ellen Marti

Many blossoms and thanks to the teachers, staff, parent volunteers and community members who helped make the school gardens at Abe Lincoln, Parkside, the Monroe Middle School and High School a reality. The generous support we received from Swiss Colony, Josh D. Landscaping, Voegeli Landscaping, Sager Fencing, Farm & Fleet, David Parr of Parfection Produce, Troy and Janel Bader/Carrousel Farms, and the high school agriculture students is much appreciated. What an exciting opportunity for the kids and thanks to Eric Ekum and the garden committee members for getting it all started. - Katie Jacobson

A big blossom to the person who found my purse in a shopping cart in the Pick 'N Save parking lot and returned it to the store. Also, to the clerk who took the time to call me, assure me that all was accounted for and could be picked up at my convenience. You have no idea how relieved I was after making such a careless error. - Forever Grateful

A blossom to the Monroe Fire Department for getting a piece of the World Trade Center for the people in our area to view and remember the historic event. It might be an idea to consider placing it in the downtown Square area. It would be another reason to bring people downtown along with shopping, dining and special events. This area is patrolled more often than other remote areas and the memorial could be near the historic Courthouse. - A retired Juda fireman
