Our hats are off to the crew that did the fireworks Sunday night. What an awesome job they did even during the rain. Everyone in the county likes to pick and complain about everyone but when it comes time to compliment, we find it easier to judge. So, a huge blossom to the crew that put on a great show for the fireworks in Monroe and surrounding communities that we could see from Monroe. Thanks. A happy camper with the fireworks crew of Monroe. Thanks for another July 4, 2010 ... God bless you all - Kenlyn Walmer
A big blossom to "Thank you Dave and Tina" we're glad you enjoyed your dinner from us. It was a pleasure to serve you and all the other people that ate-in or used our drive up. We worked hard to improve from last year. I hear there may be some questions about past barbecues. If anyone has any questions, I would be happy to answer them for you. Thanks again. - Linda Eakins, Green County Pork Producers
A barb to the New Glarus Police Department. I was on my way to Monroe with a few cars behind me. The police car went by me I'm guessing at 70 mph. I followed him to Monroe to the Justice Center. Now if I was the one doing 70 mph I sure would have a ticket and some points off my record. Just because you drive a squad car doesn't give you permission to speed, and you're not the only one who does it. There are other police departments that do it too. SHAME ON YOU! - Anonymous.
A blossom to the 16 original associates at Monroe's Walmart. A company from northern Arkansas expanded in Monroe 25 years ago. The company was Walmart and we have enjoyed being part of this community and serving our friends and neighbors in Green County and the surrounding areas for the past 25 years. The local Monroe store was the first Walmart in the state of Wisconsin with 16 original associates still working there. Please come join us for a 25 year celebration at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, at 300 6th Ave. West. - Walmart's management team.
