Lots of blossoms to the Argyle High school kids and others for doing such a wonderful job at our Annual Argyle Holiday Craft Show last Saturday, Dec. 4. For helping us crafters unload and load our cars on such a snowy day, thanks, thanks. Many blossoms to you. - Betty Peterson

A huge blossom to Josh Guptill for having the guts to say how it is, how it has been and how it always will be in high school sports. The only people who will disagree with his comment are the players with real playing time, their parents and the coaches. Nothing to get upset about - it just is what it is. - S.K.

I'd like to thank the gentleman who helped push from the curb as my wheelchair got stuck on the curb. What a very helpful person to come and help another person in need and a barb to those who can't shovel the handicapped areas of the sidewalks, so, people like me can get through with their wheelchairs. I don't get out much in the winter, but, when I do, it's very difficult to get through with snow piled. - Alan Shippy

I would like to send a barb to Monroe Clinic for raising all prices by 6 percent following on from a 6 percent rise last year. (See Monday's The Monroe Times.) I am sure many companies have seen rising costs this year and would like to raise prices but this is just not possible in a recession as people have a choice as to what to spend their shrinking funds on. Even people with health insurance are already facing huge increases in premiums, etc. and will doubtless end up paying the 6 percent increase themselves one way or another. Maybe the highly paid doctors and nurses could take a pay freeze rather than passing all these so called cost increases on to a struggling local community. Also can someone tell me why Monroe Clinic is a registered charity and as such does not pay tax? - Healthcare Costs

Another large blossom to the Monroe firefighters who helped out Saturday with the Apostolate to the Handicapped event. Most people don't have any idea of how many hours these men volunteer in our community. Thank you for every second you devote. Good weather or bad, you are always there to hold out a hand. - Kay

I would love to send a huge blossom to the Green County Highway Department, township and city plows, and everyone who does any kind of snow removal. Thank you for the numerous hours spent around the clock, away from your families and warm beds. I am thankful my kids make it to school safely. To those of you that sadly have nothing better to do than complain about snow fence and plugged driveways ... move to Florida. Grab your shovels and get a little exercise. - Anonymous

A barb to WEKZ for changing the music that you play. Where I work, the only radio station that comes in is WEKZ. I would turn it on every morning a 9:15 a.m. (to make sure that I miss the morning show) and I would enjoy most of the music all day long because it was a good variety, some oldies, but also some new music. Now WEKZ has turned into the Big Oldies 93.7, playing only 60s, 70s and 80s. This would not be so bad, but some of the songs are just horrible. I couldn't even last a week with this new programming because I found it was putting me to sleep, which is not a good thing while I am at work. I am having to play my own CDs now. Please, please go back to the way you were. - Do Not Like The Change

A blossom to the seventh-graders at Monroe Middle School. Thank you for sponsoring the blood mobile on Wednesday. The young children were very helpful and very polite. They also acted with a great deal of maturity. - Chuck Schuringa

A huge blossom to Ms. Jeannie Blumer, for helping me to help my family. Jeannie is a genuine person with a huge heart. I aprreciate all she has done for me and my family. - Me
