Blossoms and Barbs: Oct. 27, 2012

Barbs to candidates who distort facts and mislead citizens. At present, Romney/Ryan's version of Medicare will cost the average senior over $6,000 per year - more than it already does. Social Security checks as well as pay for our combat military and disabled veterans are in the infamous "47 percent who don't pay taxes." How can Ryan plead to fund Wisconsin from government programs while disparaging those same programs, and still keep a straight face? - M.E. McKnight, South Wayne

A blossom to Browntown resident Frank Potter for his diligent volunteering and expertise of the "Browntown Garden Bay" at Highway 11 and County M corner; so faithfully all summer long ... until next spring - Kudos to Franks. Thanks...great job.

A blossom to Foxy's Tree Service. Another great donator to "Browntown Garden Path" for the much needed wood chips to mulch the flower beds at the corner of Highway 11 and County M. our generosity is appreciated. - Flower Lady Jean Winkler

A big blossom to everyone who exercises their right to vote November 6. A bigger blossom to those who have spent the past years weighing on all the issues in order to decide who to best vote for our future economy. This is called homework. If you go to the classroom without doing your home work, it's better to remain home. - Lorraine McGinnis
