Dear editor,
Cyber warfare is real. We are living with it because the Russians hacked our election. We are living with it when you need a glass water and there is no water.
Russia and China are prepared to conduct cyber warfare. ISIS is more likely to use it than Russia or China. Our military is racing to create cyber weapons.
Leaders are realizing we can't win in a nuclear race so cyber is the new domain of warfare. When cyber is used our enemy can shut down our country. A really bad cyber attack would be hacking our electric grids. If they did it in the winter we could actually freeze. Yes, it can be deadly.
In Ted Koppel's book he argues that "cyber warfare is more complicated to defend against and potentially more deadly than traditional war fare." It is crucial for our government to start a dialogue with the American people how to cope with a major cyber attack before it is too late. Now is the time for us all to pull together. This is not political. We should not be divided.
A committee from the Senate and the House, the military and companies who use cyber engineers must get together to solve this problem. Once a dialogue is complete senators and legislators can inform their colleagues so they can go home and inform the people.
This is a new challenge for Americans to digest. When the dialogue information is ready, President Trump should give a speech to the nation written by an expert speech writer telling the people how to cope with a major cyber attack.
I hope Mueller will finish his investigating of President Trump soon and conclude that President Trump had collusion with the enemy which may be treason. Let's get back reality. The Russians are our enemy. Cyber war is deadly. President Trump's son Donald Jr. and Jared Kushner should be out of the White House and told the same punishment will occur to them if they continue to contact Russians.
All three of them have been conducting themselves as if this is a harmless show. I will throw in President Bush who started the war with Iraq on lie. Plus the Constitution has not been followed by several presidents. We better expect our presidents to straighten up and fly right.
