Blossoms to the Green County Ag Chest for a wonderful Breakfast on the Farm. It was a great outing, affordable and fun for the whole family. Blossoms also to the Bank of Brodhead for offering the bus service to and from the breakfast. It makes a great event even better. Thanks. - Theresa

To the very kind lady who found our son's wallet at Pleasant View Park and returned it to us, our immense gratitude. It is good to know that there are honest people who do the right thing without any expectations. You are a credit to this community. Thank you again for your kindness. - Joe and Lisa Geyer

A big fat sharp barb to the Monroe baseball coaches. Before you can pick players, you need to know the game yourself. - Someone who attends all the games

Barbs to the Monroe school board. The Monroe school district is becoming one of the most politicized district in Wisconsin. Have you ever checked to see how many husband and wife positions there are in Monroe? Ninety percent of the positions that are open in the district are cut and dried long before applications are posted. I believe it's high time that the people in the Monroe school district look into things that are going on within the district. Let's start voting out some of these board members and bring back a democratic process. Being a board member is more than rubber stamping everything the administrator cooks up. - Frustrated tax payer

A blossom to each 2010 Green County high school and college graduate for reaching your educational goals. Blossoms to the 2010 retiring teachers and school staff members of Green County. Thanks for your years of service to our young people. - Green County Retired Educator's Association

The Juda Fire Department would like to send a blossom to Linda and the crew at the Monroe Pizza Hut. We were recently called to a fire where we spent about six hours on scene. Not only did Linda deliver the pizzas to Juda, Pizza Hut donated them as well. We really appreciated it! - Judy Hale

A barb to Parkside Elementary and their principal, Eric Huinker. I have two children who attend Parkside Elementary and in the past has always been an open, welcoming building. While in the building, volunteering, I discovered a camera. Why were parents not notified? When I asked my child's teacher, she said very little and was very vague. Have we come to the point in our children's education, where parents are the last to know things? I am very unhappy with this discovery. - Frustrated with Parkside

Editor's Note: Superintendent Larry Brown said a camera was temporarily installed to monitor a situation with a student or students. The camera has since been removed.

A barb to the Monticello Police Department for ticketing the ballplayers Spring Fling weekend in the village parking lot where there were no legible parking lines. These fellows patronized the Fireman, Friends of Library and the Community Club unlike the bikers who come off the trail only to use the restrooms and fill their water bottles. We can only hope the village uses all the fine money from the tickets issued to buy some paint to mark the parking lot. - Disgruntled ballplayers
