Election Letters Deadline
To ensure publication before the Nov. 4 vote, no election-related letters to the editor will be accepted after Tuesday, Oct. 28.
On the campaign trail, you will find no one who knows Nathan Russell better than me. Nathan and I have been married for seven years and have three wonderful children. The decision for Nathan to run for the Assembly with three small children was not an easy decision for our family. We understood the commitment it would take to win involved the entire family, and it has been a decision that neither of us has questioned since Nathan entered the race. Nathan has worked hard to win support of the people in the 51st Assembly District. He has knocked on thousands of doors and listened intently to the issues that impact citizens' lives.
I have seen firsthand Nathan's leadership in tough situations, and I always have seen him make the right decision. From working with struggling students to negotiating a school budget in tough times, Nathan has the ability to bring people together to solve difficult problems. Nathan's passion for the 51st District is unmatched, as well; born in raised in Shullsburg, he is extraordinarily proud to raise his daughters in southwest Wisconsin.
It has been clear to me that we desperately need the leadership Nathan can provide at the state capitol. Nathan has a passion to make the district a better place to live and deeply cares about the issues that are challenging each of us. Nathan will do more than make empty promises - he will work for meaningful change that will support our schools, he will work for health care cost reform rather than just writing a check to pay for it all, and he will work make our community the best place on Earth to raise a family - our daughters Reagan, Madison, and Taylor are counting on it!
