One of the things weve been thinking about doing for a couple of years, but just havent gotten around to it, is to revamp our comic strips lineup on our Fun & Games page in The Monroe Times daily newspaper.

Frankly, I think our lineups quite stale. Im not particularly a fan of any of the comic strips we publish, but then Ive never really been a big fan of comic strips, period. So who am I to judge?

Thats a responsibility I prefer the readers to take. If we do revamp our comics lineup, wed conduct a reader survey first. Wed ask readers what they think of our current comics, then sample some new strips comics not currently offered in the Times to get feedback. The current strips that get the most unfavorable reviews would be replaced by the test strips readers like the most.

For Better or For Worse

Marmaduke

My questions to you would be these:

Do you read comic strips in general, and do you read our comic strips in specific?

Which comic strips do we run now that you would be very angry to see stopped?

Which comic strips do we run now that you would jump for joy if you never read again?

Which comic strips would you like to see us test in a reader survey?

This is an informal dip of a toe in the water of comics survey. Im just wondering, and Im interested to read what your thoughts are.
