Tagalongs are delicious

Ive been at the office running on 15 hours now today. Such is life on Fridays at a small-town newspaper.

One of the things that keeps a 40-something editor going on days like today is food. Specifically, chocolate.

Donuts in the morning are always good. But right now is a special time of year.

Its Girl Scout Cookie sales time! And as that season kicks off, the Times newsroom receives a complementary set of cookie boxes. The Girl Scouts know how to win a journalist -- through his or her stomach.

This year, weve already torn through the boxes of Tagalongs and Thin Mints. Still to go are boxes of Carmel De-Lites, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Cinna-Spins, Lemonades, Shortbreads and Thanks-A-Lots.

They wont last long, though Im not sure about the Lemonades.

I know that the Thin Mints are to cookies what Elvis Presley is to music. Theyre the kings.

But if I was to be stranded on an island and could have only one food available, I think I might choose the Tagalong. Theyre the crack of junk food.

Not that Ive ever done crack.

And not that Im calling Girl Scout cookies junk.

You know what I mean.

Anyway, Im wondering ... whats your favorite Girl Scout cookie? Did you have a favorite that was pulled from the product line? You can respond here by making a Reader Comment.

Or I might pose the question as a reader poll soon.

Have a great weekend!

And, sorry Packers fans, but go Seahawks!
