I attended my first Monroe fireworks display Saturday night.
I live in Freeport, and while I have missed the past two years of fireworks there (including this year), thats usually where I take in the Independence Day celebration. This year, we were invited to a Monroe party that was just a short walk to Twining Park.
Most of the people in our group had been to Freeports fireworks on Friday night. My wife and two of our kids also had taken in the display there, as well as Monroes on Saturdays. So there were plenty of comparisons after the Twining Park display Saturday night.
All were favorable for Monroe. To a person, those who attended both fireworks shows said that Monroes was better than Freeports, by a lot. And I must say I found Monroes display impressive. I also like the setting at Twining Park.
What did you think of the fireworks display in Monroe on Saturday? Or did you attend another area show? What did you think of that?
