WHITEWATER — The Green County Gators swim team swam strong at the Fall Starter meet on Sunday, November  2nd, 2025. The meet was hosted by the J-Hawks and held at UW Whitewater’s Williams Center pool. All 17 Gator swimmers earned points at the meet with the girl’s team taking 3rd place with a score of 147 and the boy’s team taking 5th place with 59 points.  Other teams who attended included the YMCA of Dane County Swim, Fort Atkinson Swim Team, Pulaski Area Swim Club, Lifetime Fitness Wisconsin Swim and the Watertown Aquatic Team.

Gators had 8 High Point Winners which included Mira Gasaway (5) 1st place with 21 points, Mila Daniels (7) tied for 3rd place with 8 points, Harlan Gasaway (8) 1st place with 21 points, Sadie Wellman (8) 1st place with 16 points, Everett Ramirez (9) with 21 points, Olivia Hustad (10) tied for 3rd place with 16 points, Lauren Kosmosky (11) 1st place with 24 points, Barrett Berg (13) 3rd with 17 points.

Lauren Kosmosky (11) earned the most points for the team taking 1st place in both the Mixed  11-12 50Y Back (38.62Y) and the Mixed 11 & Over100 Free (1:08.96Y). She placed 2nd in the Mixed 11-12 50 Fly (26.31Y) as well as the Mixed 11 & Over 100 Breast (1:36.34Y). Everett Ramirez (9) earned 21 points with his his 1st place swims in all three of his individual events - Mixed 10& Under 50 Breast (50.58Y), Mixed 10&Under 50 Free (35.58Y) and the Mixed 10&Under 100 IM (1:31.48). Harlan Gasaway (7) also took 1st place in three individual events - Boys 8&Under 25 Back (24.86Y), Boys 8&Under 25 Breast (29.14) and Mixed 10&Under 50 Free (51.25Y). Mira Gasaway earned 21 points with 1st place finishes in Girls 8&Under 25 Free (27.76Y), Girls 8&Under 25 Back (30.82Y) and Mixed 10&Under 50 Free (1:14.93Y).  Barrett Berg (13) placed 1st in the Mixed Senior 200 Free (1:59.39Y), and 2nd in both the Mixed 11&Over 100 Free (56.27Y) and Mixed 11&Over 50 Free (24.73Y). Olivia Hustad (10) took 1st place in the Mixed 10&Under 50 Back (40.65Y), 2nd in the Mixed Senior 200 Free (2:56.19Y), 4th in Mixed 10&Under 100 IM (1:40.47Y) and 6th in the Mixed 10&Under 50 Free (36.97Y). Sadie Wellman (8) took 1st place in both Girls 8&Under 25 Free (17.55Y) and Girls 8&Under 25 Breast (25.11Y), 5th place in the Girls 8&Under 25 Back (24.53Y).

Other earners for the Gators included Brynleigh Wellman (13) taking 3rd place in both the Mixed 11&Over 100 Free (1:09.18Y) and Mixed 11&Over 50 Free (31.28Y), and 4th place in the Mixed 11&Over 100 Back (1:22.57Y). Kinsely Huffman (10) took 3rd place Mixed 10&Under 100 IM (1:36.44Y) and 4th place in both the Mixed 10&Under 50 Fly (45.40Y), and Mixed 10&Under 50 Free (34.97Y). Stella Rolli (12) 3rd place in the Mixed 11-12 50 Breast (44.77Y), 4th place in the Mixed 11&Over 100 Breast (1:44.98Y) and 6th place in the Mixed 11&Over 100 Free (1:13.03Y). Avery Mansfield (9) took 3rd place in the Mixed 10&Under 100 IM (1:56.23Y) and 5th place in both the Mixed 10&Under 50 Back (52.65Y), and Mixed 10&Under 50 Free (43.71Y). Mila Daniels (7) placed 2nd in the Girls 8&Under 25 Free (23.59Y) and 4th in the Girls 8&Under 25 Back (29.04Y). Finnley Daniels (10) placed 3rd in both the Mixed 10&Under 50 Back (44.20Y), and Mixed 10&Under 50 Fly (44.70Y). Anneliesse Ramirez (13) placed 2nd in the Mixed Senior 200 Free (2:56.13Y). Olive Akins (10) placed 4th in the Mixed 10&Under 50 Breast (50.53Y), and 5th place in the Mixed 10&Under 50 Fly (56.44Y). Scarlett Hammon (10) finished 5th place in both the Mixed 10&Under 50 Back (46.87Y), and Mixed 10&Under 100 IM (1:45.86Y).  Sadie Deal earned 4th place in the Mixed 11&Over 100 Free (1:37.21).

The Gators A- Mixed 10&Under 200 Free Relay took first place with a time of (2:19.36Y) - swimmers included Everett Ramirez (9), Olivia Hustad (10), Finnley Daniels (10) and Kinsely Huffman (10).  The B-Mixed 10&Under 200 Free Relay took 5th place with a time of (3:09.33Y) - swimmers included Avery Mansfield (9), Harlan Gasaway (7), Mila Daniels (7) and Sadie Wellman (8). The A- Mixed Senior 200 Free Relay took 4th place with a time of (1:58.44Y) - swimmers included Stella Rolli (12), Lauren Kosmosky (11), Brynleigh Wellman (13) and Barrett Berg (13).  Gators B-Mixed Senior 200 Free Relay took 14th with a time of (2:43.14Y) - swimmers included Scarlett Hammon (10), Sadie Deal (11), Olive Akins (10) and Anneliese Ramirez (13).

The Gators had a total of 21 personal best records and 4 swimmers qualify for the YMCA Wisconsin State Meet in 7 events. State Qualifying times included Sadie Wellman (8) in the 25 Yard Free and 25 Yard Breast. Mila Daniels (7) in the 25 Yard Free. Harlan Gasaway (8) in the 25 Yard Back and the 25 Yard Breast and Barrett Berg (13) in the 50 Yard Free and the 200 Yard Free.
