MONROE — The Monroe 4th grade girls basketball team as become two-time back-to-back BDL League Champions, finishing both seasons undefeated. Most recently, they traveled to Wisconsin Dells to compete in the WIAA State Championship tournament, where they once again proved their determination and teamwork by finishing undefeated and bringing home the Division 1 State Championship title.
“What makes this group so special goes far beyond wins and trophies. These girls play the game the right way, with teamwork, heart, and a genuine love for the sport,” said coach Courtney Jeremiason. “Their talent is undeniable, but it’s the way they support one another, grow together, and compete as a team that truly stands out. At such a young age, they are already building a positive culture of commitment, sportsmanship, and hard work.”
Their success is also a reflection of the time and effort they dedicate during the offseason, the coach added.
“These girls continue to work, practice, and improve because they love the game and want to succeed together. That dedication is something our entire community can be proud of,” Jeremiason said. “We are excited to continue watching this group grow both as players and as young leaders. The future of Monroe basketball is bright with athletes like these.”
Team members include Aniyah Marty, Claire Mosher, Evera Abraham, Matilda Compton, Violet Compton, Hannah Prahl, Ivorie Jeremiason, Evie Ritschard, Harper Lonien, Maddy Smith, Gracie Holverson and Tatum Braun. The coaches are Courtney Jeremiason, Marta Prahl, and Brett Ritschard.
