WAUSAU — The Green County Family YMCA’s Gems gymnastics team had 33 participants at the 2024 Starlight Invitational hosted by the Woodson YMCA in Wausau on January 12-13. This was the third of seven meets the Gems team has participated in this year. The meet included over 500 gymnasts from 11 different YMCA’s in the state of Wisconsin.

Level 1 Gymnasts took 1st place. Alyson White (1st place beam and floor), Hannah Prahl (1st place vault, bars and all-around), Leyna Koch (2nd place vault, 3rd place bars, 1st place beam, 2nd place floor, 2nd place all-around), Claire Mosher (3rd place vault), Hayden Harried (1st place Bars, 3rd place all-around).

Level 2 Gymnasts received 7th place. Haleigh Jubie (1st place bars, 3rd place all-around), Helen Logan (1st place bars, 1st place floor, 2nd place all-around), Violet Schwindt.

Level 3 claimed 1st Place. Aubrie Gabioud (3rd place beam), Clara Lucas (1st place bars, beam, floor, all-around and 2nd place vault), Allison Curran, Aubree Cook (1st place floor, 2nd place vault, beam, and all-around), Sydney Dunlavy (1st place bars, beam, all-around and 2nd place vault), Emmy Cessna (1st place vault), Mylie Jelle (1st place bars, all-around, 2nd place floor, 3rd place beam), Emily Menter (1st place beam, 3rd place bars). 

Level 6 took 3rd place. Addison Curran (3rd place vault), Averi Arn, Maddie Ruegsegger (1st place vault, all-around, 2nd place floor, 3rd place bars).

Xcel Gold finished in 8th place. Brianna Ziolkowksi (1st place vault and 2nd place all-around), Paige Swan (1st place bars and all-around).

Xcel Platinum (No Ranking): Kiera Indergand (2nd place vault, bars and all-around).
