CHICAGO - Monroe alum Ryan Young finished his senior season on the Concordia University Chicago men's basketball team with postseason accolades.

Young was honored by the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) in the coaches' all-conference voting as honorable mention all-conference.

Young led the Cougars in scoring this season with 363 points, a 15.1 average that put him at 15th in the conference. He averaged more than 20 points over the Cougars' last four games, including a career-high 35 against Wisconsin Lutheran College on Feb. 17, and has risen to ninth place in the program's all-time scoring list with a final career total of 1,246 points. Young's forte was his three-point shot, and he placed among the NAC leaders with 60 threes for a 2.5 per-game average (fourth) and a .395 percentage (eighth).

Forward-center James Morgan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa was named second team all-conference.

Coach Jones said of the Cougars' two All-NAC selections, "To be acknowledged as a superior player in the Northern Athletics Conference is a tremendous achievement. James and Ryan both displayed workmanlike attitudes all season long and are very deserving of this recognition."
