Wick to enter Hall of Fame

BELLEVILLE - Sugar River Raider alumnus Scott Wick will be inducted into the Wisconsin Track Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

An induction ceremony will be Saturday, Feb. 8 at 1:15 p.m. at the Concourse Hotel in Madison.

During Wick's tenure at Belleville High School, he was a standout track athlete and received many notable accolades and achievements. Specifically, Wick was a four-time MVP for the Sugar River, helping the Raiders win the 1996 WIAA Division 2 state championship. He is a five time WIAA state individual champion, winning the 110-meter high hurdles (1995, 1996), 300 intermediate hurdles (1995, 1996) and 200 dash (1996). Wick's 1996 State 300 hurdle time was a state record in Division 2 and he has six team records.

During college, Wick competed for the University of Wisconsin Badgers in the heptathlon and decathlon, where he was part of a four-time conference championship team.
