Wells, Lange finish at top in FAITH run

MONROE - Two Monroe runners were the top finishers in the FAITH Addiction Awareness 5K run and two-mile walk Saturday.

Erick Wells finished in 21 minutes, 36 seconds and was the overall winner and top male finisher.

Ann Lange placed second overall and was the top female finisher after covering the course in 23:31.

More than 60 runners and more than 100 walkers participated in the third annual event. The route started at the Monroe Clinic and went through Twining Park and the neighborhood north of the Green County Family YMCA before returning along the bike path to the Monroe Clinic.

Awards were given to the top-two finishers in each age category.

50-59: 1, Howard Drye, Monroe; 2, Randy Pink, Monroe.

60 and over: 1, Jerry Dietzel, McFarland; 2, Jim Mason, McFarland.

1-14: 1, Marlies Brandli, Monroe; 2, Mia Hodson, Monroe.

15-19: 1, Whitney Wells, Monroe; 2, Becca Raab, Warren.

20-29: 1, Ashley Sanders, Madison; 2, Kelsey Jacobsen, Monticello.

30-39: 1, Lange; 2, Anna Loney, Verona.
