WATERLOO - Logan Schwebs scored a team-high 14 points to lead a balanced attack to lift Waterloo to a 54-48 win over New Glarus Thursday.
Waterloo jumped out to an 18-11 lead in the first quarter and led by six points at the half. The other double-figure scorers for Waterloo included Braden Stock with 13 points and Mitch Gallitz and Ben Vehlow each with 10 points.
New Glarus junior Gavin Binger scored a game-high 15 points. The Glarner Knights (4-9, 1-2 Capitol South) made just 2 of 7 free throws compared to 11 of 15 for the Pirates.
New Glarus junior Austin Schlueter added 13 points and Tanner Hofer chipped in seven points.
Belleville 63, Wis. Heights 37
BELLEVILLE - Ryan Hayes scored a game-high 20 points to help Belleville cruise to a 63-37 win over Wisconsin Heights.
Hayes drilled two of the team's four 3-pointers. Belleville (3-12, 2-2 Capitol South) made 17 of 25 free throws to seal the win.
