SOUTH WAYNE - Even without starting quarterback Merik Meythaler, the Black Hawk Warriors cruised past North Crawford 46-0 Saturday.
Backup QB Kyle Walters completed both passes he attempted for 70 yards and two touchdowns. The first score came on a 31-yard pass to Hayden Schliem in the first quarter, and the second was a 39-yard pass to Cory Rupnow in the second.
Jace Johnsrud ran for 152 yards on 11 carriers and scored three touchdowns. Johnsrud scored on runs of 22, 47 and 8.
Jayden Rufenacht added an 8-yard run and Logan Stietz capped Black Hawk's scoring with a 4-yard jaunt into the end zone in the third quarter.
The Warriors (6-2) held North Crawford to just 67 total yards of offense and forced four turnovers. Offensively, Black Hawk had 333 rushing yards and 403 yards total with just one turnover.
Black Hawk ends its regular season schedule Friday at Pecatonica-Argyle.
