ARGYLE - Senior Josh Meier scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Black Hawk boys basketball team to a comeback 59-42 win over Argyle on Thursday.
Argyle (2-9, 0-5 Six Rivers East) led by one point at the half. The Warriors (9-1, 4-1) outscored the Orioles 38-20 in the second half.
"Their guards were way more aggressive getting to the rim in the second half," Argyle coach Justin Jenson said. "We didn't want the Meier and Meyer boys to beat us inside. They got us to push the ball in the second half. They are a very athletic team that can get up and down. If the other team lets them do that they will take advantage of it."
Black Hawk sophomore Conner Meyer added 10 points, and junior C.J. Leuzinger chipped in nine points. Meier knocked down two of the Warriors' five 3-pointers.
Argyle junior Brent Ritschard scored a team-high 11 points. Senior Collin Argue added 10 points, and senior Mitch Dammen had nine points.
