Warriors fall late to Broncos; Juda clips Argyle

SOUTH WAYNE - Cody Foster had 12 points and Hayden Schliem added 11, but the Warriors couldn't hold a late lead over the Orange-ville Broncos Monday.

Orange-ville led 13-2 after the first quarter, but a big second quarter by Schliem (nine points) helped Black Hawk close the gap to 25-21 at halftime.

The Warriors (5-6, 2-3 Six Rivers East) then outscored the Broncos 11-8 in the third to trim the score headed into the fourth.

In the final frame, Black Hawk held a lead, only to have Orangeville finish the game with a late run.

Black Hawk travels to Barneveld (9-2, 4-1) Thursday in a conference showdown.

Juda 31, Argyle 26

ARGYLE - The Panthers held off the pesky Orioles thanks to a 15-11 fourth quarter run Monday.

Juda led 7-3 after the first quarter and 13-6 at halftime. Argyle responded in the third, going on a 9-3 run to trim the score to 16-15.

Joey Jordan and Brandon Bauman each scored 11 points for the Panthers (4-8, 2-3 Six Rivers East). Brandon Bauman also hit the Ponies only 3-pointer in the game. Dylan Bauman scored six points.

Ryan Geissbuhler had 14 points, including two 3-pointers, for Argyle (0-10, 0-5).

Juda hosts Pecatonica (6-6, 3-2) Thursday in a Six Rivers East matchup. Argyle hosts Albany (3-10, 1-4).
