Warriors can't hold on for win

HANOVER, Ill. - Black Hawk senior T.J. Adams had the hot hand early, knocking down one 3-pointer after another in the first half, but the Warriors still lost 51-38 to River Ridge in the last game of Saturday's River Ridge Shootout.

Black Hawk trailed 22-13 after the first quarter and was down 30-19 at half. By the end of the third quarter, River Ridge held a firm 44-30 advantage.

Adams hit four 3s and scored 18 points in the game. Cody Foster had eight points for the Warriors.

Beloit Turner 47, Argyle 24

BELOIT - A day after picking up their first win of the season over Black Hawk, the Orioles fell hard to the Trojans.

Argyle trailed 9-5 after the first quarter and 18-7 at half. A 17-7 run by Turner in the third quarter put the game away.

Nate Thomas had 10 points to lead the Orioles.
