ARGYLE - The accolades keep rolling in for the Pecatonica-Argyle football team.
Pecatonica-Argyle (11-1, 8-0 Six Rivers), the conference champion, had nine players selected as first-team all-conference recently.
Pecatonica-Argyle senior Tyler Wahl was named the Six Rivers Conference Lineman of the Year. Wahl was first-team all-conference as an offensive tackle, defensive lineman and kicker. Senior teammate Riley Ostby was named first-team all-conference as a running back and outside linebacker.
The other first-team selections for the Vikings were junior A.J. Hendrickson at wide receiver, junior Cam Treuthardt at inside linebacker and senior Brooks Chandler at defensive back.
Black Hawk's first team all-conference selections were senior Jacob Quinn at running back and defensive back.
Pecatonica-Argyle coach Larry Green was named the conference's coach of the year. Highland junior quarterback John Ross Linscheid was named the conference's offensive player of the year, and Potosi senior Nate Friederick was named the conference's defensive player of the year.
The second-team all-conference selections for the Vikings were junior Logan Green at quarterback, Chandler at wide receiver, Grayson Scholl at offensive guard, senior Will Herman at defensive end and senior defensive lineman Andrew Schild.
The second-team picks for the Warriors were Preston Bevins as an offensive tackle and defensive lineman, senior Chase Stietz as a specialist, sophomore Brody Milz at inside linebacker and senior Austin Meier at outside linebacker.
