Monroe
Kelli Isaj, Soccer: The senior scored four goals at the east Troy Invitational. He had three goals in a 6-2 win over Portage-Poynette and a shootout goal in a loss to East Troy. Isaj also had a game-winning goal in the 72nd minute to lift the Cheesemakers to a 2-1 win over Fort Atkinson Sept. 14.
Kristin McArdle, Tennis: The senior No. 1 singles player defeated Monona Grove's Ashli Paulson 6-0, 6-0. The Cheesemakers knocked off Monona Grove as a team 5-2. McArdle then defeated Oregon's Alyssa Reifert 6-0, 6-1. The Cheesemakers defeated the Panthers 6-1 in a dual match.
Dylan Starck, Cross Country: The senior finished third at the Badger Challenge with a time of 16 minutes, 57 seconds. Starck helped the Cheesemakers win their sixth Badger Challenge in the last seven years.
Area Boys
Tyler Dorn, New Glarus-Monticello: The senior rushed for 151 yards to help the Knights come back to beat Poynette 17-16. With the win over Poynette, which was ranked ninth in the WisSports.net Division 5 poll, the Knights remain unbeaten.
Tyler Hardyman, Darlington: The senior had three interceptions to set up several scoring opportunities for the Redbirds in a 50-0 win over Southwestern. With the win, Darlington, ranked No. 2 in the WisSports.net Division 5 Coaches poll, improves to 4-0.
Ryan McCoy: The sophomore finished third in the Mount Horeb Viking Invitational Saturday. McCoy finished with a time of 17:22 to lead the Knights to the team title.
Area Girls
Courtney Pfeuti, Albany: The senior had 26 assists, 14 digs and two aces in a 25-12, 27-25, 25-15 win over Pecatonica. She followed that up with 32 assists in a 25-15, 25-11, 25-15 sweep of Juda.
Rachel Rygh, Black Hawk: The senior had a team-high 10 kills and five aces in a 25-13, 25-14, 25-15 win over Barneveld. Rygh then had 18 kills in a 21-25, 22-25, 25-15, 25-21 and 15-6 five set win over Argyle.
Micala Peterson, Argyle: The junior had 13 kills in a win over Monticello. Peterson then had nine kills and two aces in a five set loss to Black Hawk.
