BLANCHARDVILLE - Pecatonica-Argyle junior Lizzy Britt stepped up with the Vikings' leading scorer sidelined.

Britt scored 17 points to lead the Vikings to a 41-25 win over Riverdale on Monday.

Pecatonica junior guard Michelle Francois, who is averaging 12.7 points per game, missed the game after she injured her hip in a 48-35 loss to Argyle on Saturday.

"We knew it was going to be a tough game without Michelle," Pecatonica coach Matt Bakkum said. "We talked about needing someone to step up for Michelle on offense and defense. It wasn't going to be just one person. It has to be a collective effort."

Pecatonica (3-10, 1-4 Six Rivers East) cruised to a 19-3 lead and led by 11 points at halftime. The Vikings put the game away by outscoring Riverdale 12-2 in the third quarter. Emma Marion added 10 points for the Vikings.

Bakkum said Francois will likely be sidelined for a while.

Albany junior Cassidy Bump scored a game-high 17 points. Junior Kirstie Kauk added 15 points for the Comets, who shot 22 of 41 from the free throw line.
