STOUGHTON - The Monroe girls basketball team hit 3-pointers all night Tuesday in a 58-30 blowout of Stoughton.

Monroe (3-0, 2-0 Badger South) hit eight 3-pointers, four from senior Emily Rufenacht for all 12 of her points.

Rufenacht was one of three players in double figures, joined by juniors Ashley Hermanson (12) and Gwen Sutter (10).

Junior Jamie Armstrong added eight points, Chelsea Bryce score seven and Kylee Ritschard had five.

"With a big lead like that, we got to play a lot of girls and got to see some different looks from our team that we usually don't get," Monroe coach Kevin Keen said.

The Cheesemakers used a 17-4 first-quarter run to build a double-digit lead. Monroe led 34-8 at halftime.

Monroe will host Monona Grove on Saturday night, which also is Parents' Night.
