MONROE - Two Mat Rat wrestlers traveled to Cuba City on Sunday to kick-start the wrestling season.
Jack Dubach, a state qualifier last year, wrestled three tough matches in his bracket. He won the first, but then lost the next two by only two points. Dubach took third place.
Roderick Rath, who is entering his third year as a Mat Rat, took home first place in his bracket with two pins and a win by points. This was Rath's first ever first place finish.
