Two Knights named to first team Capitol South All-Conf.

MONROE - The New Glarus-Monticello football team had two players named first team Capitol South All-Conference recently.

Senior Eric Felt was named first team all-conference as an offensive lineman and senior Lukas Kolasch was named to the first team as a defensive back.

Belleville-Albany sophomore Joey Beil was the first team all-conference kicker.

Marshall (9-2, 5-0 Capitol South) won the conference by one game over Waterloo (4-1). New Glarus-Monticello finished 4-5, 2-3 Capitol South and just missed the playoffs.

New Glarus-Monticello junior running back Spencer Jones was named second team all-conference. Joining Jones as a second team selection is Belleville-Albany junior running back Jacob Kowalski. Kowalski was also named to the second team as an inside linebacker. There were four other second team selections for the Knights including senior wide receiver Chris Pickett, junior inside linebacker Aaron Hefty, senior outside linebacker Bryce Anderson and sophomore defensive end Josh Kolasch.

Belleville-Albany senior T.J. Youngs was a second team offensive lineman.

Lukas Kolasch was honorable mention all-conference at quarterback and New Glarus-Monticello senior Aaron Nimtz received honorable mention honors as a defensive lineman and junior Gabe Noyce received honorable mention all-conference as a specialist.

The co-offensive players of the year are Cambridge's Alex Resnick and Marshall's Albert Unruh. he co-offensive linemen of the year are Waterloo's Evan Kurkowski and Marshall's Taylor Boyd. The co-defensive players of the year are Marshall's Thurston Schuster and Cambridge's Nic Bowe. The defensive lineman of the year is Waterloo's Matt Ulam.
