MONROE - Three Monroe swimmers turned in strong performances at the USA regionals Feb. 20-21.
Rachel Root, 14, finished second place in the senior division (ages 15-18) and was the high-point earning swimmer in the USA meet.
Marissa Berg finished as the third-place high-point swimmer.
Swimming coach Mark Lang said Root and Berg's achievements in the senior division, which included many other swimmers, was impressive.
Kelvin Johnson, 14, who will swim six races at state, was the third-place high-point swimmer in the 13-14 boys division.
